Cal Maskery – Board Member
Founder & Executive Director
Harvest House Atlantic
Cal Maskery has been on the Board since 1997. Cal initiated the Board of Directors for the purpose of accountability, and to sharpen the direction of the mission of Harvest House. Cal serves as the visionary for the Board of Directors.
Cal brings a life-time of experience to his role at Harvest House. In 1981 Cal followed his father’s footsteps and spent four years incarcerated. During his time in Dorchester Penitentiary Cal watched a Billy Graham crusade on TV. Cal pleaded with God for help and vowed to follow God the rest of his days if He would help him. That night, being led by the words of Billy Grahame; Cal accepted God into His heart, and his life changed forever.
Upon his release in 1985 Cal worked for two years at the Mitchell Family Christian book store in Toronto, Ontario. In 1987 he returned to Moncton, New Brunswick as a self-employed painter. In 1989 Cal became Executive Director of New Life Mission in Moncton, NB which would lead to Cal founding Harvest House Atlantic.
Today, Cal serves the community as a humanitarian, encouraging people he meets in businesses, churches and communities to pay it forward and help someone in need. Cal’s heart for the mission of Harvest House is immeasurable and he is truly dedicated to “Connecting people of compassion with people in need to make a difference.”
Cal’s testimony has been written out by his daughter, Alisha Maskery, in the new book Like Father, Like Son!
