CONTINUUM OF CARE
Harvest House Atlantic is walking alongside people in the Greater Moncton Area as they embark on a journey of homelessness, addiction, and unemployment.
Women and men most often come into our care from the streets, the court system, prison, or detox facilities. We are increasingly seeing people from all walks of life who have lost housing or employment due to rising inflation.
Whichever path leads someone to our door, we are here to help them overcome barriers, renew their hope, and achieve the following:
01
STABILIZATION
Progress in physical health, mental wellness, personal finances, and legal challenges.
EDUCATION & EMPLOYMENT
Continuing education, learning new skills, and preparing for employment.
AFFORDABLE HOUSING
Transitioning out of the shelter, securing safe and clean housing that meets an individual’s needs.
FAMILY REUNIFICATION
Addressing the fractures in family units and is working towards the reconciliation of relationships.

Our Front-Line Services are our client-facing services that offer direct and immediate support to women and men in need. Front-Line Services are on the ground level when it comes to meeting a person’s most basic human needs of water, food, and shelter. Our Front-Line Services include our Community Centre, our Emergency Shelter, and our Food Services.
COMMUNITY CENTRE
Our Community Centre is a safe space for those in our community to come inside and access meals and sit with staff to discuss challenges that they are facing. Due to the growth in individuals experiencing homelessness and the rise in people finding themselves precariously housed, the meal counts in March 2024 had risen to 753 food portions/day on average from 300 food portions/day in from the previous year.
Harvest House Atlantic is the only agency in Greater Moncton serving 3 meals/day + snacks and bagged meals for those unwilling or unable to access shelter.
EMERGENCY SHELTER
Our Emergency Shelter houses 14 women and 46 men each night. In winter our shelter expands to accommodate the increased need. In the winter of 2023, we grew to 114 shelter beds to accommodate the Winter Response.
This space is meant to be the first step in stabilization for individuals actively working towards leaving the shelter system. The average length of a person’s stay in shelter is 480 days before moving on to other types of housing (based on 2023 data).
KITCHEN FOOD SERVICES
We believe that just because someone finds themself in a vulnerable situation they should not have to go without access to healthy food options. We continue to absorb the effects of the rising cost of food and support more people than ever in the community beyond serving meals each day and including emergency food boxes to those accessing affordable housing.
We believe in exceeding the standards by which people are fed. We are a Food Banks Canada Accreditation Program. We also enjoy partnerships with food suppliers like Food Depot Alimentaire, Loblaws, Walmart, Costco, Starbucks, McDonalds and many other organizations to support us in serving over 250,000 meals / year.
ADDICTION SERVICES
Our closed 9-month faith-based Addiction Recovery Program serves and supports 9 women and 22 men. We offer 8 areas of support for our program residents: Physical Health, Mental Health, Financial Stability, Legal Challenges, Family Reunification, Faith, Housing, and Skills & Employment.
SUPPORTIVE HOUSING
We believe affordable and safe supportive housing is a basic human right. Our 28 Community-Based housing units offer fully supported and deeply affordable housing with private rooms and shared living spaces for our residents.
Harvest House Atlantic works with the collective homeless serving agencies to select individuals for housing based on the Community By-Names List.
